Establishment of the Small Claims Court - 06/11/2026

The public is hereby informed that a new Court has been established at No. 48, Gregory’s Road, Colombo 07 on 11 June 2026, in terms of the provisions of the Small Claims Court Procedure Act, No. 33 of 2022, for the institution and hearing of cases under the said Act. Accordingly, litigants, legal practitioners, and members of the public are advised that all actions falling within the jurisdiction of the Small Claims Court Colombo shall be instituted before this Court from the date of commencement.
